The news was launched exclusively by Variety: the Disney + streaming platform has started pre-production for season 3 of the popular series “The Mandalorian”, set in the Star Wars universe, given that season 2 will premiere only in the fall.
“The Mandalorian”, the series launched with great success by Disney + in November last year, will also have season 3 and pre-production for the new episodes have already started.
Creator Jon Favreau is already writing the script for season 3 and has been writing ‘for some time’. The creative and set design departments are also working, but no filming of any kind has yet taken place (it would have been difficult, given the current world situation and the way the pandemic has hit the film industry).
The news that season 3 of ‘The Mandalorian’, the story of a space bounty hunter played by Pedro Pascal, is already in the works comes after it was announced in February that season 2 of the series will be available at Disney + in October this year, and the launch would not be affected by the coronavirus pandemic: filming ended in early March, according to a post on Instagram by Gina Carano (in the series Cara Dune).
Most likely, season 3 of the series will hit screens in 2021.
