The original series “Who’s the Boss?” it had eight seasons and 196 episodes and was broadcast by ABC between 1984 and 1992. During all this time, the production was awarded five Golden Globes and was nominated ten times for an Emmy Award.
The action of the new sitcom will take place 30 years after the events of the original one. It will focus on the relationship of Tony Micelli (Tony Danza), a former baseball player, with his daughter, Samantha (Alyssa Milano, who was 12 at the beginning of the story, in 1984). Currently a single mother, she comes to live with her father in the same house that served as the setting for the original story.
Judith Light and Danny Pintauro, two of the main performers of the old production, are still missing from the new cast, but the creators of the new series are also considering the possibility of their characters being reintroduced into the story.
