American actor Tom Cruise, who performs all his stunts on his own, is preparing with NASA and Space X, Elon Musk’s company, an adventure film to be shot in space.

The film, which is in preparation, will not be part of the “Mission: Impossible” franchise. No studio is involved in this project yet.

Tom Cruise has been dreaming of the project since the early 2000s. At the time, he should have done it with director James Cameron. “15 years ago, I proposed to Tom Cruise the idea of making a film in space,” the director told Empire magazine in 2018.

“I had a contract with the Russians in 2000 to go to the International Space Station and film a 3D documentary. Then I thought, ‘We should make a movie.'” I told Tom, “You and me, we’ll have two seats on the Soyuz, but someone needs to train us to become space engineers. “Tom said,” No problem, I’ll train. ”

However, the project was abandoned. “We had some ideas, but it was conceptual,” said James Cameron, who works on creating the imaginary worlds in Pandora for his “Avatar” series.

In anticipation of this ambitious project, Tom Cruise will be on the bill at the end of the year in “Top Gun 2”, where he is a pilot of military aircraft.
