Pop singer Sia has revealed she is suffering from a rare genetic disorder


In a message posted on Twitter, the singer and songwriter said she has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a syndrome that causes her extreme pain and fatigue.

“Hi, I suffer from chronic pain, a neurological disease, Ehlers Danlos, and I want to tell those who suffer from pain, physical or emotional, that they love you. Go ahead. Life is damn hard. Pain is demoralizing and you are not alone, “the artist wrote.

Sia, 43, is known for being discreet with her private life, usually hiding her face under wigs and hats.

She also composed songs for other singers such as Rihanna, Beyonce, Katy Perry, and Adele.

According to the National Health Service of the United Kingdom, there are 13 types of EDS syndrome, a condition that affects the connective tissue around the body. Some forms are light, while others can be disabled.

Sia spoke in the past about her addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Last year, she posted a message on twitter celebrating the fact that she is no longer dependent on eight years.
