Australian singer Kylie Minogue had invited her during the recital at the Glastonbury Festival, Nick Cave and Chris Martin. The pop artist climbed the main stage where she was due to sing in 2005, but she had to cancel her presence after being diagnosed with cancer.
Kylie Minogue said, “In 2005, I was supposed to be here on this stage, but the circumstances did not make it, but I watched from Australia. I wish things were different, but life is what it is, right? We’re together here now … ”
Applause by tens of thousands, she went on to say that the 30 years with the audience made individual tales become one. “Come on, I did not cry too much,” she said with a smile.
She remembered that watching the Glastonbury festival 14 years ago, one of the invited artists sang a piece of her. This was Chris Martin (Coldplay), with whom he now sang “Can not Get You Out Of My Head”.
From the setlist she presented were “Locomotion”, “Hand On Heart”, “Confide In Me” and “Slow”.
Together with Nick Cave, he played the famous ballad “Where The Wild Roses Grow”.
