Jennifer Lopez concert at Madison Square Garden, canceled due to a power outage

The interruption was caused by a transformer fire that broke out on West 64th Street and West End Avenue, according to the New York Fire Department.

“They told me to get off the stage,” said J.Lo in a video published on Twitter, shot behind the scenes at Madison Square Garden. “We were waiting there. Obviously, all the current stopped in town and obviously here at Madison Square Garden.”

“They asked everyone to evacuate, quietly and calmly,” she said. “I’m obviously sorrowful and disappointed … I love you. I’m sorry this happened in the middle of our concert,” said J.Lo.

The singer added in another video: “I really do not know what to say, I want to assure you that you will take your money, that we will return and make a great show for you. I am very sorry for what happened. ..) They did the smartest thing for the safety of everyone. ”

In addition to canceling Jennifer Lopez’s concert, many Broadway productions including “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, “Frozen”, “Moulin Rouge” and “The Lion King” were canceled on Saturday night. Up to Manhattan’s current blocked lifts and the subway, the network was affected.
