The Disney+ streaming platform is preparing a new series inspired by the “Star Wars / Star Wars” universe, which will focus on female characters.
The new production will be a thriller “with female characters, with elements of martial arts, whose action is set in a different period than the one already known in the Star Wars universe,” also announces that the series will be live-action.
There are currently no additional details about the project, but previously, there was a rumor of a Star Wars series centered around Daisy Ridley’s character.
The new series will be created by Leslye Headland, a screenwriter also known for the successful miniseries “Russian Doll” (Netflix) and would be Disney’s latest intention to expand the successful franchise “Star Wars” on the small screens, after “The Mandalorian ‘, which premiered last year. The series “The Mandalorian”, which premiered last fall, was highly regarded by critics and audiences alike. A third season is currently in preparation.
